CivilSer – Estudos e Projectos de Engenharia, Lda was established in April 1999, founded by the directors Engs. Francisco Baptista Esteves Virtuoso and Augusto Martins Gomes.

Mission

To develop high standard structural engineering services, concerning buildings, bridges and special structures, including new structures, retrofitting and assessment of existing structures.

Partners’ CV

Francisco Baptista Esteves Virtuoso is currently an Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department of IST- Instituto Superior Técnico, being responsible for Bridges and Special Structures course. Completed a Degree in Civil Engineering (IST, UTL, 1981), a Master in Structural Engineering (IST, UTL, 1985) and a PhD in Civil Engineering (IST, UTL, 1992). Has over 32 years of experience on structural design, with special focus on bridge design and structural concrete strengthening and repair. Founded CivilSer, Estudos e Projectos, Lda. in 1999, being responsible for several projects such as bridges, buildings and special structures.

Augusto Martins Gomes is currently an Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department of IST – Instituto Superior Técnico, being responsible for the group of courses of Construction Materials. Completed a Degree in Civil Engineering (IST, UTL, 1983), a Master in Structural Engineering (IST, UTL, 1987) and a PhD in Civil Engineering (IST, UTL, 1992). Has over 30 years of experience on structural design, with special focus on bridge design and structural concrete strengthening and repair. Founded CivilSer, Estudos e Projectos, Lda. in 1999, being responsible for several projects such as bridges, buildings and special structures.
